By accessing the Kol HaNearim website (https://www.kolhanearim.org/) or applying to our summer programs, you ("Participant" or "Parent/Guardian") agree to these Terms and Conditions. Kol HaNearim operates immersive summer volunteer programs aimed at supporting children at risk. Participation requires active engagement, personal responsibility, and adherence to all organizational guidelines.

• Application Process: Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

• Interviews & Background Checks: Applicants must complete a formal interview process and, where applicable, background screenings and reference checks.

• Acceptance: Final admission is at the sole discretion of Kol HaNearim. Placements are non-transferable.

• Application Fees & Deposits: All deposits and application fees are required upon acceptance to hold a spot.

• Strict Non-Refundable Policy: All payments—including application fees, deposits, and tuition—are strictly 100% non-refundable under any circumstances.

• Payment Deadlines: Program fees must be paid in full according to the schedule provided upon acceptance. Failure to complete payments on time may result in immediate cancellation of acceptance without a refund.

• Mandatory Forms: Participants must submit completed health histories, physician releases, and immunization records prior to the designated deadline.

• Full Disclosure: Participants must fully disclose any physical, mental, or emotional health conditions, medications, or dietary restrictions. Withholding health information may result in immediate dismissal from the program without a refund.

• Standards of Behavior: Kol HaNearim maintains a strict code of conduct. Participants must treat fellow volunteers, staff, children, and local hosts with respect.

• Zero Tolerance: Curfew violations, substance abuse (alcohol or illegal drugs), violence, endangerment, theft, or severe misconduct will result in immediate dismissal.

• Dismissal Discretion: Kol HaNearim reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the safety, well-being, or harmony of the program.

Participants are responsible for securing valid travel documentation, including passports (valid for at least six months past the return date) and any required visas. Kol HaNearim is not responsible for travel delays, entry denials, or passport issues.

In the event of early departure—whether due to voluntary withdrawal, emergency, medical necessity, late arrival, or dismissal for conduct—no refunds, prorated credits, or fee adjustments will be provided. Any additional costs incurred for emergency travel, early flights, or transportation home are the sole financial responsibility of the participant or parent/guardian.

​In the event of illness or injury, Kol HaNearim staff are authorized to secure emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, or surgery for the participant. Parents/guardians or participants remain fully responsible for all medical costs not covered by international travel health insurance.​

​Participants and parents/guardians grant Kol HaNearim royalty-free, perpetual permission to capture, use, and publish photos, audio, and videos of the participant taken during the program for promotional, marketing, website, and educational purposes.​

​Participation in summer camp programs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activities, international travel, communal living, and group excursions. Participants and parents/guardians knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.​

​Programs operating in international locations (such as Israel) involve unique security environments. Participants acknowledge that travel warnings, geopolitical tension, civil unrest, or active conflict may arise. Participants voluntarily choose to attend and remain in the program fully aware of these circumstances.​

• Non-Refundable Expenses: If a program is altered, canceled in advance, interrupted, required to end early, or forced to depart early from its location due to force majeure, acts of war, terrorism, government travel advisories, strikes, health emergencies, or security concerns, Kol HaNearim will not provide refunds for any expenses incurred.

• Mandatory Travel Insurance: Kol HaNearim strongly advises all participants to purchase comprehensive "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) travel, medical, and interruption insurance.

​Participants and their legal guardians hereby release, waive, hold harmless, and indemnify Kol HaNearim, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and local host institutions from any and all claims, liability, damages, or costs arising out of personal injury, illness, property damage, or financial loss during the program.​

• Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

• Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or participation in Kol HaNearim programs shall be settled through binding arbitration in the State of New York, rather than in court.
