Shabbat at Shlomi- Talpiot

Good morning! Today we woke up, ate a quick breakfast, and then headed out for a nice long hike up north in Part Gored in the western Galilee. I went on this hike last year as well, but this was a totally different experience. Being surrounded by a different group of people, it was as if it was my first time walking it. The views all seemed brighter, prettier, and greener. Walking along all my new friends and family made us all appreciate the beauty of the land of Israel. After the hike, we headed back to Shlomi to prepare for Shabbat. We got Shabbat started with singing and dancing under the hot sun, then making our way to the air conditioned Beit Knesset for an inspiring Kabbalat Shabbat. Shabbat dinner was delicious and filling, and ended with singing and dancing pumping everybody up. Shabbat morning was relaxing and enjoyable. Lunch consisted of zmirot and lots of sweaty boys singing and jumping around. As the day went on everyone relaxed and walked around enjoying each other's presence. Director Michael Reidler spoke to each home about the meaning behind Kol Hanearim and its impact on the world. Shalosh Seudot was laid back and led into a slow Shira. Lastly, Havdalah was pumped up, a great way to end of Shabbat. Now we are heading to Talpiyot to start the best summer ever!
